The New England Lectureship was started out of a desire to create greater fellowship and relationships among the local congregations in this area. Through the efforts of Herschel Walker, James Anderson, John Kurpriel, and others, several activities lead to the establishment of the lectureship. Monthly area-wide singing programs were held that allowed congregational singing to occur with song leaders from various congregations participating. The success of this lead to the establishment of a 5th Sunday pulpit exchange of the area ministers that allowed more ministers to get better acquainted. From these activities, we decided to establish the New England Lectureship.
We recognize that the New England area is a fertile mission field. We encourage you to support this event that seeks to help promote the Church of Christ in a positive light and to show that Christians in this part of the country are about the “Father’s Business.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7 (NKJV)
